| Day 1 |
Welcome to Koh Chang and arrival, Relax & Let the Island Begin
|
| 08:00 AM |
Welcome at Trat Airport
Your JC Tour Heritage Guide will be waiting at Trat Airport to welcome you, assist with your luggage, and accompany you by private vehicle toward the ferry pier.
The journey begins gently through the tropical orchards, small communities, and green countryside of Trat. As the coastline approaches, the forest-covered mountains of Koh Chang gradually appear across the sea—the island that will become home for the next four days. |
| 09:30 AM |
Ferry to Koh Chang
Board the ferry and cross the Gulf of Thailand toward Koh Chang. Enjoy the sea breeze as the mainland slowly recedes behind you and the island’s long mountain range grows larger ahead.
Once ashore, your private vehicle continues along Koh Chang’s western coast, following roads that curve between mountains and sea. Along the way, your Heritage Guide will gradually introduce the island, its landscape, communities, and some of the places you will experience over the days ahead.
There is no need to discover everything at once. Today is simply about arriving and allowing yourself to settle into the island. |
| 11:30 AM |
Lunch by the Sea
Enjoy lunch at a carefully selected seaside restaurant, with fresh seafood and local ingredients served against the open view of the water.
There is plenty of time for this first meal. On a Slow Journey, lunch is not simply a gap between one attraction and the next. It is part of the day—a time to rest, talk, enjoy the surroundings, and begin adjusting to the slower rhythm of the island. |
| 01:30 PM |
Check-in, Dinso Resort & Villas Koh Chang
Arrive at Dinso Resort & Villas Koh Chang, your beachfront retreat for all three nights of the journey.
After check-in, your Heritage Guide will take care of the remaining arrangements while the afternoon becomes entirely your own.
Settle into your room, swim in the pool, walk along the beach, or find a quiet corner of the resort for coffee and a little time to simply do nothing. |
| 03:30 PM |
Beach & Resort Time
The afternoon is deliberately left open.
There are no additional attractions squeezed into the schedule and nowhere else you need to reach. This is time to enjoy the resort and the seaside atmosphere of Koh Chang without constantly looking at the clock.
Walk barefoot along the beach, swim, relax beside the pool, or sit beneath the trees and watch the sea.
Choose your own pace. The island is not going anywhere. |
| 05:30 PM |
Sunset by the Beach
As the afternoon light begins to soften, walk down to the beach and watch the sun descend over the western coast of Koh Chang.
Golden light spreads slowly across the water, the sea breeze becomes cooler, and the beach settles into one of the quietest moments of the day.
There is nothing scheduled immediately afterward, so there is no reason to leave before the last colors disappear. |
| 07:00 PM |
Dinner & Relaxing Evening
Enjoy dinner in a relaxed atmosphere before returning to Dinso Resort & Villas Koh Chang for an evening entirely at your own pace.
Rest well tonight. Tomorrow morning will not begin early.
The journey will continue gently toward another side of Koh Chang, following coastal roads through local communities before reaching the mangroves of Salak Khok, where a small traditional gondola will carry you quietly through the waterways.
Exactly as a Slow Journey should. |
| Day 2 |
From the Mangrove Waterways to an Afternoon Entirely Your Own |
| 07:30 AM |
Slow Morning at Dinso
Begin the morning gently at Dinso Resort & Villas Koh Chang with an unhurried breakfast, followed by time for coffee, a walk along the beach, or simply a little longer at the resort.
Today, we leave the livelier western coast and travel toward the quieter side of Koh Chang, where the roads become smaller, communities more scattered, and mountains, forest, and sea gradually take over the landscape. |
| 09:30 AM |
Journey to the East Coast
Travel by private vehicle toward Koh Chang’s eastern coast, passing forested mountains, tropical orchards, rubber plantations, and small villages, with occasional glimpses of the sea appearing between the trees.
Along the way, your Heritage Guide will introduce the communities and everyday life of this quieter side of the island.
There is no long list of attractions to complete today. The road, the changing landscape, and the journey across the island are part of the experience themselves. |
| 10:30 AM |
Salak Khok Mangrove
Arrive at Salak Khok Mangrove, where dense mangrove forest surrounds a network of tidal waterways that eventually open toward the bay.
Here, nature and community exist closely together. Mangrove roots hold the soft shoreline in place while creating shelter for small marine creatures, and the waterways remain connected to the everyday life of the communities around Salak Khok Bay. |
| 11:00 AM |
Mangrove Gondola, The Slowest Journey of the Day
Step aboard a traditional wooden rowing boat, often known as the Salak Khok Gondola, and glide quietly away from the pier.
There is no engine.
Only the gentle sound of the paddle touching the water.
Mangrove trees and tangled roots line both sides of the waterway, their reflections moving across the surface. At times, the channel opens toward distant mountain views before narrowing again beneath thicker forest.
There is no reason to hurry toward a destination because the beauty of this experience is found along the way—the movement of birds above the trees, tiny crabs along the mudflats, the breeze passing through the mangroves, and the quiet rhythm of the boat moving forward.
This may be the slowest journey of all four days.
And that is exactly why it belongs in the Koh Chang Slow Journey. |
| 12:30 PM |
Local Lunch
Return to shore for lunch at a local restaurant, with fresh seafood and traditional dishes prepared around ingredients available that day.
Take your time over the meal. Sit, talk, and observe the rhythm of the community around you.
There is no next attraction waiting to pull you away from the table. |
| 02:00 PM |
A Quiet Stop on the East Coast
The afternoon journey back remains deliberately flexible.
Depending on the weather and conditions of the day, your Heritage Guide will choose a pleasant stop along the eastern coast—perhaps a small café, a quiet sea viewpoint, or a peaceful corner surrounded by nature.
Enjoy a coffee or cool drink while looking across the sea and mountains before continuing back toward the western side of Koh Chang. |
| 03:30 PM |
Back to Dinso
Return to Dinso Resort & Villas Koh Chang while the afternoon is still young.
From here, there is nothing else on the schedule.
Return to your room, swim in the pool, walk along the beach, enjoy a Spa treatment, read beneath the trees, or simply rest.
Coming back to the resort early does not mean the day has ended early.
It means we deliberately left part of the day for you. |
| 05:30 PM |
Sunset at Your Own Pace
As evening approaches, return to the beach whenever you wish.
The sun slowly descends across the sea as the atmosphere around the resort changes from the brightness of afternoon to the calm of evening.
There is no meeting point and no vehicle waiting in the lobby.
When you feel the sunset is over, the day is over too. |
| 07:00 PM |
Dinner & Free Evening
Enjoy dinner before spending the rest of the evening at your own pace at Dinso Resort & Villas Koh Chang.
Tomorrow, the journey changes from the quiet waterways of the mangrove to the open sea—but we will still keep the distance short and the schedule light.
Your private boat will take you to only a few islands close to Koh Chang—Koh Yuak and Koh Man Nai—leaving enough time to swim, relax on the beach, and enjoy an entire morning at sea exactly as a Slow Journey should be. |
| Day 3 |
A Private Morning Among the Small Islands Just Offshore from Koh Chang |
| 07:30 AM |
Breakfast Without Rush
Begin the third morning gently at Dinso Resort & Villas Koh Chang, with plenty of time for breakfast and coffee.
Today we are going to sea, but there is no long-distance crossing, no long list of islands to complete, and no shared-tour timetable to follow.
Before departure, your Heritage Guide and captain will review the weather, waves, and sea conditions, then arrange the morning around what is most suitable on the day. |
| 09:00 AM |
Private Boat, Into the Morning Sea
Set out aboard your Private Boat, reserved exclusively for your journey, toward the small islands lying just offshore from Koh Chang’s western coast.
There is no need to race across the water. As the boat moves away from shore, look back and the green mountains of Koh Chang gradually open into a wider panorama.
Ahead are the little islands you have been seeing from the beach over the past two days.
This morning, we are finally going out to meet them. |
| 09:30 AM |
Koh Yuak , A Little Island Close to Koh Chang
Arrive at Koh Yuak, a small island surrounded by clear tropical water just offshore from Koh Chang.
When sea conditions are favorable, the water around the island offers good visibility for observing coral and marine life beneath the surface.
Swim or snorkel at an easy pace. There is no short time slot telling you when you must return to the boat. If the water is beautiful and the surroundings are peaceful, we can simply stay a little longer.
And if snorkeling is not for you, remain aboard, swim close to shore, or simply enjoy looking back toward Koh Chang from the sea. |
| 11:00 AM |
Koh Man Nai
Continue a short distance to Koh Man Nai, another small island lying close to the Kai Bae coast.
The idea here is wonderfully simple.
Swim. Walk along the shore. Take photographs. Find somewhere to rest. Or sit beside the sea with absolutely nothing you need to do next.
Cool drinks, seasonal fruit, and light refreshments will be available from the boat, allowing the late morning to follow the rhythm of the sea rather than the hands of the clock. |
| 12:00 PM |
Light Lunch by the Sea
Enjoy a light lunch beside the sea or aboard the boat, depending on the weather and conditions of the day.
After lunch, there is still time for another swim, a little more relaxation, or simply one last look across the water toward the mountains of Koh Chang before we begin the short journey back. |
| 01:00 PM |
Slowly Back to Koh Chang
Your private boat turns gently toward Koh Chang.
Because the islands are close to shore, there is no need to spend hours traveling back. Almost the entire afternoon remains free for you to enjoy at the resort.
As the coastline approaches, Koh Chang reveals itself from a perspective that cannot be seen from the road—high mountains rising behind dense green forest, with beaches stretching quietly along the foot of the island. |
| 01:30 PM |
Back to the Island
Arrive back on Koh Chang, where your Heritage Guide and private vehicle will take care of the short journey back to the resort.
There are no additional sightseeing stops this afternoon.
After a morning at sea, we deliberately return early enough for you to enjoy another side of the journey—the pleasure of having nowhere else to go. |
| 02:00 PM |
Back to Dinso-The Afternoon Is Yours
Return to Dinso Resort & Villas Koh Chang.
From this moment until evening, there is no schedule.
Return to your room, swim in the pool, enjoy a Spa treatment, walk along the beach, or take an afternoon nap after your morning at sea.
The time is entirely your own. |
| 05:30 PM |
The Last Sunset on Koh Chang
This evening brings the final sunset of your journey.
Walk down to the beach or choose your favorite place around the resort and watch the light slowly change across the water.
Over the past three days, the journey has taken you from the western coast to the quiet mangroves of the east—from a traditional gondola moving silently beneath the mangrove trees to a private boat carrying you toward small islands in the morning sea.
Yet every day has shared one thing:
we never needed to rush. |
| 07:00 PM |
Dinner & Your Last Island Evening
Enjoy dinner and spend your final evening on Koh Chang entirely as you wish.
Tomorrow morning, there is still no sightseeing schedule waiting for you. We have kept those final hours for breakfast, the beach, and the resort before gradually saying goodbye to Koh Chang and returning to Trat Airport.
Because even when the journey is almost over, a Slow Journey does not need to hurry through its final moments. |
| Day 4 |
A Gentle Farewell to Koh Chang |
| 07:30 AM |
The Last Morning on Koh Chang
Your final morning on Koh Chang begins just as gently as the days before.
There is no early alarm, no sunrise departure, and no final attraction that needs to be squeezed into the itinerary.
Walk along the beach while the morning air is still cool and watch the first light reveal the sea and surrounding mountains. Or simply enjoy a quiet moment at the resort and allow the last day to begin at your own pace. |
| 08:00 AM |
Breakfast at Dinso
Enjoy a full, unhurried breakfast at Dinso Resort & Villas Koh Chang.
There is no need to rush through your final coffee on the island. We have deliberately left enough time for you to enjoy the resort before departure.
After breakfast, walk along the beach, take another swim, relax in your room, or return once more to a favorite corner you may have discovered during the past three days. |
| 10:00 AM |
Check-out & Farewell to the Resort
It is time to check out.
Your JC Tour Heritage Guide and team will take care of the luggage and departure arrangements before your private vehicle begins the journey toward the ferry pier.
Along the way, the coastline, mountains, and communities now feel more familiar after several days on the island. There are no additional sightseeing stops today.
We would rather let your final image of Koh Chang remain one of relaxation than turn the last morning into another race against the clock. |
| 11:00 AM |
Ferry Back to Trat
Board the ferry for the crossing back to the mainland and take one last look at Koh Chang from the sea.
The green mountains gradually recede into the distance, carrying with them memories of quiet beaches, the waterways of Salak Khok, a wooden gondola moving silently through the mangroves, and a morning at sea around Koh Yuak and Koh Man Nai.
Over these four days, we never tried to travel as far as possible.
We simply stayed long enough in the places that deserved our time. |
| 12:00 PM |
Farewell Lunch in Trat
Back on the mainland, enjoy a final lunch at a carefully selected restaurant, with fresh Trat seafood and local dishes bringing the journey gently toward its close.
And just as throughout the previous days, there is enough time to enjoy the meal comfortably before continuing to the airport. |
| 01:30 PM |
Private Transfer to Trat Airport
Your private vehicle takes you to Trat Airport, with your JC Tour Heritage Guide continuing to assist with luggage, transportation, and the final details of the journey. |
| Before 03:00 PM |
Arrival at Trat Airport
Arrive safely at Trat Airport with comfortable time to prepare for your onward flight.
Koh Chang Slow Journey – 4 Days 3 Nights ends without a single day spent rushing to complete a list of attractions.
Instead, there was time to glide quietly through a mangrove forest, take a private boat toward small islands, walk barefoot along the beach, wait for the sun to disappear over the sea, and return to the resort early enough for every day to still feel like a holiday.
Because sometimes, what makes a journey memorable is not how many places we managed to visit.
It is having enough time in one place to truly feel that we were there. |
