Although the monks may not have necessarily needed it, the local villagers felt the need to create a way for them to easily access the village for their morning alms rounds. This desire to do good led them to build what is now known as the Bridge of Merit—a bamboo bridge designed to offer a convenient path for the monks across the fields.

Over time, the bamboo bridge has transformed into a cherished attraction, drawing visitors from all over and creating a significant source of income for the local community.
