Koh Kood is an island that rewards travelers who give it time. A beautiful beach deserves an afternoon rather than a short stop. Klong Chao Waterfall is better when there is enough time to walk into the forest, cool down beside the freshwater and stay without watching the clock. And after a day outside, returning to a private pool and having nowhere else to be can be just as important as another attraction.

Koh Kood Slow Island Journey is built around that idea. Over four days, we select fewer places and give them more useful time. You will explore the island's beaches and freshwater environment, head out by Private Boat toward Koh Raet, return for quiet afternoons and sunset, and have time to enjoy the resort rather than using it only as somewhere to sleep.

Throughout the 4 Days 3 Nights, the journey is privately arranged from Trat Airport. Your Heritage Guide travels with you, a private vehicle and local driver take care of the island route, and your Private Boat is arranged for the day at sea. You stay for three nights at High Season Pool Villa & Spa, where the Pool Villa and the resort's setting at Klong Chao become an important part of the holiday itself.

We also reserve 2 hours 30 minutes for your Spa Experience. It is deliberately given a substantial part of the schedule rather than being added between sightseeing stops. After exploring Koh Kood, this is time to slow the body down, enjoy the spa properly and return to your Pool Villa without another activity waiting afterward.

A Small Island Worth Taking Slowly

Koh Raet is a small island just off the coast of Koh Kood, surrounded by rocky shoreline, a small beach and generally quiet water. When sea conditions and underwater visibility are good, the area around the island can be rewarding for snorkeling, with coral formations, reef fish and smaller marine life visible beneath the surface.

Visiting by Private Boat gives us the freedom to use the island according to the conditions that day. If the water is clear, we can spend longer snorkeling, return to the beach for a rest and go back into the water when you feel ready. Koh Raet is small, so there is no need to rush around it. For our Slow Island Journey, having enough time to enjoy the water is exactly the reason we come here.

Klong Chao Beach

A Beach Made for Slow Time

Klong Chao Beach is one of Koh Kood's most naturally beautiful stretches of coastline, with soft white sand and clear water that changes gradually from pale turquoise to deeper blue. Coconut palms and tropical greenery remain close behind the beach, while the gently sloping shoreline makes it comfortable for barefoot walks, swimming or simply finding a quiet place near the water.

On calm days, the shallows can become clear enough to see the sandy bottom beneath your feet. Afternoon is especially pleasant as the light softens along Koh Kood's western coast. There is very little that needs to be planned here. For our Slow Island Journey, we give Klong Chao enough time for you to walk, swim, sit by the sea and enjoy the beach without having to leave for the next stop too quickly.

Klong Chao Waterfall

Freshwater, Forest & History

Klong Chao Waterfall takes us away from Koh Kood's beaches and into the forested interior of the island. Freshwater flows through natural rock formations into a large pool surrounded by trees and shade, creating a noticeably cooler environment than the coast. The waterfall also has a historical connection with King Vajiravudh, Rama VI, who visited Koh Kood during his reign, adding another layer of interest to this natural setting.

For our Slow Island Journey, we allow enough time to walk into the forest without turning the waterfall into a quick photo stop. Sit beside the water, enjoy the shade or swim in the natural pool when water levels and conditions are suitable. Klong Chao is a useful reminder that Koh Kood's natural environment extends well beyond its coastline, with forest and freshwater systems still forming an important part of the island.

2½ Hours Reserved for Rest

The Spa at High Season Pool Villa & Spa is given a full 2 hours 30 minutes within our Slow Island Journey. The experience begins with time in the sauna, followed by traditional Thai massage and an oil massage using aromatic oils, all within the quiet surroundings of the resort spa. We allow a substantial part of the day for this so there is no need to shorten the treatment or hurry toward another activity afterward.

After spending time around Koh Kood's beaches, forest and freshwater, the spa provides a different kind of rest. The combination of heat, massage and a quiet environment gives the body time to recover before returning to your Pool Villa. We deliberately keep the schedule open after the treatment, allowing you to continue the evening at your own pace rather than immediately getting back into the vehicle for another stop.

High Season Pool Villa & Spa combines the quiet atmosphere of Koh Kood with tropical gardens, private Pool Villas and direct access to Klong Chao Beach. The privacy of your villa gives you space to relax between activities, while the beach, swimming pool, spa and resort facilities mean there is plenty to enjoy without having to leave the property. In the late afternoon, Klong Chao Beach is only a short walk away for a swim, a beach walk or sunset.

We selected High Season Pool Villa & Spa for the Koh Kood Slow Island Journey because the resort supports exactly what this four-day program is designed to provide: comfort, privacy, wellness and time. During the three-night stay, we deliberately leave parts of the itinerary open so you can actually use your Pool Villa, enjoy the beach and spend time at the spa. In this journey, the resort is part of the holiday itself, and the schedule gives you enough time to enjoy what you are staying here for.

	Day 1 Arrive Slowly, Let Koh Kood Begin 08:00 hrs. Welcome to Trat A JC Tour representative welcomes you at Trat Airport before your Private Transfer to Laem Sok Pier. Your JC Tour Heritage Guide joins you from the airport and takes care of the luggage, ferry check-in and travel arrangements before crossing to Koh Kood with you. The first day of our Slow Island Journey is intentionally easy. After arriving by air, there is no benefit in turning the rest of the morning into a race against the clock. We connect the airport, road transfer and ferry smoothly, then allow the pace to become slower once we reach the island. 09:00 hrs. Laem Sok Pier Arrive at Laem Sok Pier, check in for the ferry and relax before departure. Your Heritage Guide handles the necessary arrangements and introduces the general plan for the next four days. You will notice that this itinerary does not contain a long list of stops. On most days, we concentrate on only one or two worthwhile experiences and leave enough time to enjoy them properly. 10:45 hrs. Across the Sea to Koh Kood Board the High-Speed Ferry to Koh Kood. As the ferry leaves Laem Sok, the mainland gradually falls behind and open water takes over. Later in the crossing, the green hills and forested interior of Koh Kood begin to appear ahead. Use the crossing to relax before arriving on the island. Ferry times are approximate and may change according to the operator's schedule, season, weather and sea conditions. 11:45 hrs. Welcome to Koh Kood On arrival, your Private Vehicle & Local Professional Driver will already be waiting. The driver takes care of your luggage and travels with us for the island sections of the program. We keep the first afternoon straightforward: a comfortable lunch, time at the beach and an early check-in at the resort. There is no need to add several landmarks before reaching your Pool Villa. 12:15 hrs. Lunch by the Sea Enjoy lunch by the sea, with local dishes and seafood selected according to availability and the route that day. After travelling throughout the morning, we allow enough time to sit down and enjoy the meal comfortably. There is no attraction immediately afterward that requires us to watch the clock. Good food, a sea view and enough time to enjoy both. 13:30 hrs. Klong Chao Beach Continue to Klong Chao Beach, one of Koh Kood's most naturally attractive stretches of coastline. Pale sand meets clear water, with coconut palms and tropical greenery remaining close behind the beach. We give Klong Chao a proper part of the afternoon rather than using it as a quick photo stop. Walk barefoot along the water, swim, find some shade or sit near the beach for a while. We have deliberately kept the schedule open enough that you do not need to leave just as you begin to enjoy being there. 15:00 hrs. High Season Pool Villa & Spa Check in at High Season Pool Villa & Spa, your accommodation for the next 3 nights. The resort was selected as an important part of the Slow Island Journey, so we bring you here early enough to actually enjoy it. Settle into your Pool Villa, unpack and take some time for yourself. Klong Chao Beach, the swimming pool, spa, tropical grounds and other resort facilities are all available without having to get back into the vehicle and travel somewhere else. This afternoon is one of the reasons we do not add more sightseeing to Day 1. 15:30 hrs. Your Private Time Pool Villa • Beach • Resort • Or Simply Rest The remainder of the afternoon is yours. Stay at your Pool Villa, return to the beach, swim, read, have a cold drink or simply rest after the journey from Trat. Nothing has been accidentally left out of the itinerary during these hours. This time has been reserved for you on purpose. You have three nights at High Season, and we want you to have enough time to enjoy the resort rather than seeing it only in the morning and after dark. 17:15 hrs. Sunset at Klong Chao Beach As the afternoon light begins to soften, walk back to Klong Chao Beach for sunset. Because High Season is located directly beside the beach, there is no need for another vehicle transfer or a separate sunset viewpoint. Simply leave your villa when you are ready and walk toward the sea. The western coastline gives you a clear view of the changing evening light over the water. Stay for as long as you wish, then return to the resort at your own pace. 18:30 hrs. A Private Evening There is no further scheduled program tonight. Choose dinner at the resort, take an evening walk or return to your Pool Villa and enjoy the privacy of your own space. There is also no very early departure tomorrow morning. Day 2 continues at the same comfortable pace, with enough time for breakfast before we begin exploring another side of Koh Kood. Day 2 Waterfall, Spa & The Pleasure of Having Time 07:30 hrs. A Fresh Morning at the Resort Wake up to your second morning at High Season Pool Villa & Spa without having to start the day too early. Enjoy breakfast at the resort, then keep some time for coffee, a walk along Klong Chao Beach or your Pool Villa before leaving. We visit only a few places today and return to the resort earlier than a conventional sightseeing program. The afternoon has already been reserved for Spa, Pool Villa, Beach and Private Time, so there is no need to fill the morning with additional stops. 09:00 hrs. Klong Chao Waterfall Depart by Private Vehicle & Local Professional Driver with your Heritage Guide for Klong Chao Waterfall. Although the waterfall is not far from the coastal area, the surroundings change quickly as we move inland. Tropical greenery and forest replace the open beach landscape, while freshwater from the island's interior flows through natural rock formations into a large pool beneath the trees. Klong Chao also has a historical connection with King Vajiravudh, Rama VI, who visited Koh Kood during his reign. Your Heritage Guide can explain this background while we walk into the waterfall area. 09:30–11:00 hrs. Freshwater, Forest & Time to Stay We give Klong Chao a full 90 minutes rather than arriving, taking photographs and immediately walking back. When water levels and weather conditions are suitable, you can swim in the natural pool, sit on the rocks or find a shaded place beneath the trees and enjoy the cooler forest environment. There is no additional activity to complete here. The time is deliberately left open so you can enjoy the waterfall according to your own comfort. For senior travelers or anyone who prefers less walking or swimming, your Heritage Guide can adjust the pace and time accordingly. There is no requirement for everyone in the group to experience the waterfall in exactly the same way. 11:30 hrs. An Easy Drive Around Koh Kood After leaving Klong Chao, we continue along the island roads at an easy pace. Rather than treating the road simply as transportation between attractions, take some time to notice the Koh Kood landscape outside the window: local homes, coconut groves, tropical vegetation and small roads running through different parts of the island. If we come across a suitable viewpoint or something worth stopping for that day, there is enough flexibility to make a short stop. This is one of the practical advantages of a Private Journey. We can respond to what we find along the way without putting the rest of the day under pressure. 12:00 hrs. A Good Lunch, Slowly Enjoy lunch at a restaurant selected to fit today's route, with local dishes and seafood according to availability. There is enough time for a comfortable meal because we are not trying to fit several more attractions into the afternoon. After lunch, we head back to High Season Pool Villa & Spa. 13:30 hrs. Return to High Season Arrive back at the resort early in the afternoon. This timing is intentional. We selected High Season because we want the Pool Villa, beach and resort facilities to be genuinely useful parts of the four-day holiday. Returning only at the end of every sightseeing day would leave very little time to enjoy what you are staying here for. Return to your villa, change, have a short rest and prepare for the Spa Experience. From this point onward, there is no vehicle waiting to take you to another attraction. 14:30 hrs. High Season Spa — 2½ Hours Reserved for You Your 2 hours 30 minutes Spa Experience begins at High Season. The treatment sequence includes time in the sauna, followed by traditional Thai massage and an oil massage with aromatic oils, according to the arrangements included in the package and confirmed with the resort. We give the spa a substantial part of the afternoon rather than trying to fit it between sightseeing stops. After walking through the forest in the morning, you now have enough time to slow down, rest and let the treatment run at its proper pace. There is also no activity scheduled immediately afterward. Spa sequence and appointment time are subject to final confirmation and availability at the resort. 17:00 hrs. Pool Villa, Beach & Your Own Time After the spa, return to your Pool Villa or walk down to the beach. Swim, rest in the villa, read, order a drink or simply stay somewhere comfortable within the resort. We leave this part of the day open on purpose. You have already spent the morning at Klong Chao Waterfall and the afternoon at the spa. Adding another attraction now would work against the pace we planned for the day. 17:30 hrs. Another Sunset at Klong Chao If you feel like returning to the beach, Klong Chao is only a short walk away. It is the same beach you visited yesterday, but there is no reason a Slow Island Journey needs a different sunset location every evening. Weather, clouds, tide and light change from day to day, and tonight you already know exactly where you would like to sit. There is no vehicle transfer and no viewpoint schedule. Walk out when you are ready and return to your villa whenever you wish. 18:30 hrs. A Free Evening After sunset, the evening is entirely your own. Choose dinner at the resort, take a walk along the beach or return to the privacy of your Pool Villa. There is no evening program and no early-morning rush waiting for you tonight. Your second night is again at High Season Pool Villa & Spa. Day 3 Sea, Small Island, Slow Lunch & Resort Afternoon 07:30 hrs. Another Easy Morning Begin your third morning at High Season Pool Villa & Spa with breakfast at an unhurried pace. There is still time for coffee, a walk along Klong Chao Beach or a quiet morning at your Pool Villa before leaving the resort. After two days of beaches, freshwater and resort time, today we change the view for a few hours and head out onto the sea. We are not travelling as far as Koh Rang, and this is not planned as a full snorkeling expedition. The boat journey is intentionally shorter and easier, leaving enough time to return to High Season for the afternoon. 09:00 hrs. Private Boat Your Heritage Guide takes you to the departure point, where your Private Boat, Local Captain & Crew will be ready. After a short safety briefing and equipment check, we leave the Koh Kood coastline and head toward the nearby islands and coastal areas. The Captain considers the day's wind, tide, current and sea conditions when planning the route. There is no list of several islands that must be completed before lunch. If we find good water and everyone is enjoying the stop, we have enough flexibility to stay longer. 09:30 hrs. Koh Raet Our first destination is Koh Raet, a small island located just off the coast of Koh Kood. Its rocky shoreline, small beach and surrounding water create a noticeably different setting from the broad beaches we have enjoyed during the first two days. When conditions are suitable, you can swim or enjoy some easy snorkeling in an area selected by the Captain and Heritage Guide. If you prefer to remain aboard, that is equally fine. This morning has been designed to work for different levels of interest and confidence in the water. Nobody needs to snorkel simply because snorkeling equipment is on the boat. 10:30 hrs. A Quiet Bay Leave Koh Raet and continue toward a suitable bay or coastal area selected according to the conditions that morning. We deliberately do not fix the name of this stop in advance. A place that works beautifully in one set of conditions may be less suitable when the wind, tide or current changes. The local Captain uses his knowledge of the area to choose somewhere comfortable for the boat and appropriate for swimming. Enter the water, float near the boat or snorkel gently with your Heritage Guide nearby. Guests who prefer to stay dry can remain aboard, enjoy the breeze and see the Koh Kood coastline from a perspective that is impossible to get from the road. 11:30 hrs. Beach Time Instead of adding a third or fourth island, we choose a suitable beach or bay for a late-morning stop. Go ashore, walk on the sand, swim in the shallows, take photographs or find some shade and stay there for a while. This is where having a Private Boat becomes particularly useful. We do not have to leave simply because a shared-boat timetable says the stop is finished. If the place is good and everyone is comfortable, we stay. 12:00 hrs. Slow Lunch by the Sea Enjoy lunch either from the arrangements prepared for the journey or at a suitable seaside restaurant, depending on the route selected for the day. After a morning of sea air and swimming, lunch is given enough time to be a proper break. There is no additional island scheduled immediately afterward. Eat comfortably, talk, rest and enjoy being by the sea before we begin the short journey back to Koh Kood. 13:30 hrs. Return to Koh Kood Board the Private Boat and begin the return journey. There is no next destination to prepare for. Sit back, have some water and enjoy the ride as the coastline of Koh Kood gradually comes closer. We deliberately keep today's boat journey to approximately half a day. It gives you enough time to enjoy being on the water without turning the third day into another long marine excursion. 14:00 hrs. Back to High Season Return to High Season Pool Villa & Spa in the early afternoon. This timing is an important part of the program. We do not keep the boat out until late afternoon simply because it is privately chartered. By returning at around 14:00, you still have energy from the morning and several hours left to enjoy your Pool Villa, beach and resort. Shower, rest, take a nap, read or walk back down to Klong Chao Beach. There is no further scheduled sightseeing today. 15:00–17:00 hrs. Your Final Full Afternoon This is your last full afternoon on Koh Kood, and we keep it completely open. Stay at your Pool Villa, swim, walk along the beach or simply rest. If you would like an additional spa treatment, the resort can arrange one subject to availability and additional charges where applicable. This free time is also useful when people travelling together want different things from the afternoon. One person may want to swim, another may prefer the villa, while someone else may want the spa or a quiet place to read. You can spend the afternoon together without everyone having to follow the same schedule. 17:30 hrs. Final Sunset at Klong Chao As the light begins to soften, return to Klong Chao Beach for your final sunset of the journey. By now, you already know the beach. There is no need for directions, a vehicle or a scheduled viewpoint. Walk down when you are ready, choose the place you like and stay until the light begins to disappear. We leave the evening uncomplicated. A beach, the sea and enough time are all that are required. 18:30 hrs. Your Final Evening on Koh Kood Dinner and the rest of the evening are entirely your own. Choose dinner at the resort, arrange something special for the person travelling with you, or keep the evening simple and relaxed. Return to your Pool Villa whenever you are ready and enjoy your third night at High Season Pool Villa & Spa. Day 4 Morning by the Sea, Last Lunch & Journey Home 07:30 hrs. Your Final Morning at High Season Wake up to your final morning at High Season Pool Villa & Spa with no need to start packing immediately. Enjoy breakfast at the resort and keep the first part of the day for yourself. After three days of beaches, freshwater, time at sea and quiet afternoons, we do not add another destination before departure. There is still a resort, a Pool Villa and a beach that you have already learned to enjoy. We prefer to give you time for them. 08:30 hrs. Morning at Klong Chao Beach After breakfast, walk down to Klong Chao Beach once more. The beach feels different in the morning from the sunsets you have seen during the previous days. The light is softer, the temperature is comfortable and the coastline is only beginning to wake up. Walk barefoot along the water, take an easy swim when sea conditions are suitable, or return to the place on the beach you have come to like. By the fourth day, there is no need for us to introduce Klong Chao to you again. You already know where you want to walk, swim or sit. 09:30 hrs. One More Hour at Your Pool Villa Return to your Pool Villa and enjoy the final part of your stay at High Season. Swim in your private pool, have another coffee, shower, pack your luggage or simply remain in the villa until it is time to check out. We deliberately avoid morning sightseeing on Day 4. High Season Pool Villa & Spa has been part of the holiday from the beginning, and your final morning is still valuable time to enjoy what you came here to stay for. 11:00 hrs. Check-out from High Season Check out from High Season Pool Villa & Spa. Your JC Tour Heritage Guide and Private Vehicle & Local Professional Driver will be ready to take care of your luggage and the final transportation on Koh Kood. There is still enough time for lunch before heading toward the ferry. 11:30 hrs. Last Lunch on Koh Kood Enjoy your final lunch on the island at a restaurant selected to fit the route and confirmed ferry schedule. Choose from local dishes or seafood according to availability, and take enough time to enjoy the meal comfortably. There is no reason to finish quickly simply to add one more stop before departure. After lunch, your Heritage Guide reconfirms the ferry arrangements and prepares for the transfer to the pier. 12:30 hrs. Transfer to the Pier Leave for the departure pier. Along the way, the small roads, coconut groves, local homes and tropical greenery of Koh Kood pass outside the window for the final time. We do not schedule a last-minute attraction during this part of the day. Ferry connections need sensible timing, and arriving at the pier comfortably is preferable to adding an unnecessary stop and then rushing through check-in. Your Heritage Guide takes care of the ferry check-in and luggage arrangements. Afternoon | High-Speed Ferry to Laem Sok Board the High-Speed Ferry for the journey back to Laem Sok, with your Heritage Guide continuing to travel with you. When we made the same crossing on Day 1, Koh Kood was still an island ahead of us. Four days later, the places are familiar: Klong Chao Beach, the freshwater and forest around Klong Chao Waterfall, the waters around Koh Raet, your Pool Villa and the quiet afternoons at High Season. For the crossing back to the mainland, there is nothing else you need to arrange. Take your seat, rest and enjoy the sea for a little longer. Ferry times may change according to the operator's schedule, season, weather and sea conditions. The morning program will be adjusted when necessary to allow comfortable check-in and boarding. Arrive at Laem Sok | Private Transfer to Trat Airport When the ferry arrives at Laem Sok Pier, your Private Transfer will already be waiting. Your Heritage Guide assists with the luggage and continues with you to Trat Airport, with the transfer coordinated according to your onward flight time. Arrive at Trat Airport and complete your Koh Kood Slow Island Journey — 4 Days 3 Nights. For four days, we have deliberately kept the itinerary lighter than it could have been. That gave you more time at Klong Chao, a relaxed morning on the water, a full Spa Experience, three nights in your Pool Villa and several afternoons that belonged entirely to you.
